We had a better catch here last night from 3 traps in and around our garden with 27 moths of 15 species, although the minimum overnight temperature was down to 3.6°C. The highlight was what we believe was a Lunar Thorn- straight cross-line above silver crescent on upper side of forewing and hindwing distinctly scalloped with no dark central spot near outer edge of upperside. We have attached photos + a map showing its localised distribution in Ceredigion (Click once to enlarge). Also photos of Scorched Wing, Barred Umber and a female Fox Moth.
