Eager return from the Easter break

Having spent the Easter break away from my trap, it was fair to say I was desperate to get her out and running again now that spring has finally arrived! Happy to see a bit of diversity again - 3 micro and 6 macro species last night.

  1. We just don't seem to be getting many micros at the moment Joe, not even a LBAM! What were your other two?

  2. Pine Beauty is quite rare in Ceredigion with an average of 4 records per year in the last 10 years. Only 2 records in 2017.

  4. Blimey, I also had a male Diurnea fagella and Bedellia somnulentella. I had 2 Pine Beauty in the trap that night as well!

  5. Hi Joe, you may also be surprised to know that your Bedellia somnulentella is only the second record for an adult in vc46. Usually recorded as a mine. The first adult was recorded just round the corner from you! Although I think I may have taken one out of the trap at IBERS this morning.
