Sallow Kitten et al

Two traps set in our nearby oak woodland produced 51 macro and 12 micro species.  The high spots for us were our first ever Sallow Kitten, July Belle & Dingy Shell.  It was certainly the night for Buff-tip and Double Line which both ran into double figures.

  1. How confident are you that it is a July Belle rather than a Lead Belle? I'm asking because only last week I dissected my "July Belle" that I caught back in 1989 and it turned out to be a Lead Belle.

    1. A very timely question. We have Tony and Ina over here looking at it. After examining several different books we are confident that it is a July Belle.
