The Perfect Night

A warm, humid, cloudy night this weekend led to record catches when 4 of us put 3 traps in and around our property.  We had a total of 140 moths of 52 species, 8 of which were micros.  Here are 4 of the high-spots- a mass hatching of Mottled Beauties, this beautiful Map-winged Swift, a fresh Green Arches and the Nationally Scarce B Double Line,of which there are local populations.
