We have just come back from our travels and seen your great record. I have looked at the distribution map for the Rosy Wave and have found only three sites. I have given the latest date for Ynyslas.
Thankyou for the map Evan. Mike Bailey,NNR warden, says they may well have been there all the time but that area hasn't been trapped much. I did in fact find it on a stem near the MV trap and grabbed it quick. My trapping companion Dr Marc Botham suggested it was a sub angled wave in the darkness and as I hadn't seen one of those either I took it home where he immediately recognised it as a Rosy Wave. There is only one pic as I couldn't risk it flying off in our habitat and we replaced it the next day. I was also pretty thrilled to catch Shore Wainscot which is one of the easier ones to id.
