National Moth Nights

The first night of this years NMN and the theme this year is Woodland.

Around 120 plus individuals of c53 species on the edge of some mixed woodland and I am sure there would have been more if it wasn't for a very helpful Robin this morning.  Nothing so spectacular as the Striped Hawk-moth but some old favourites returning again.  In fact not a Hawk-moth of any description which surprised me...the robin didn't look that fat! 😋
