Ynys-hir moth event

A warm, cloudy, still night was perfect for moths and we saw 108 species (84 macro and 24 micro) not counting quite a few that escaped before we could identify them. Most surprising were a total of 8 Dog's Tooth in traps around the visitor centre, some way from their normal habitat. Before this there were 25 county records of 27 individuals. Surprisingly few Heart and Dart (12), Large Yellow Underwing (6), and Dark Arches (4).
