A slightly higher temperature than expected last night produced eight species from our trap in the adjacent oak woodland including one micro ( Tortricodes alternella X 15). New species for us this year included Yellow Horned, Twin-spotted Quaker, Small Quaker and Engrailed.

According to VC46 records this is the peak week for Yellow Horned, but this is the first record I have seen. This is nother indication of the lateness of Spring this year. Apparently Easter is going to be very cold too with possibility of more snow.
