Phyllonorycter sp.

Here is a photo of the unidentified Phyllonorycter micro moth caught at Ynys-hir yesterday. Apologies for the poor quality but it is so difficult to get these little moths to sit still.

  1. It looks like one of the oxycanthae/sorbi/mespilella group. Can you keep it (and hope it's a male)?

  2. Yep, that's what we thought - in the freezer Peter. No clue from the trees the trap was amongst as it's very mixed there.
