..... and from our nearby oak woodland close to heathland we had what we believed could be a Neglected Rustic but are not completely happy. Any possible thoughts on this?
As Pete has pointed out a constant diagnostic feature of Neglected Rustic is the conspicuous black base of the kidney mark which is lacking here. He suggests this is a very pale form of Square-spot Rustic where the the kidney mark is paler than the ground colour. There were certainly plenty of normal Square-spot Rustics in the trap.
