I hope that I’ve identified this correctly.(My only moth last night!)
It’s only my second in Cross Inn and I thought I’d post it as there seems to be so little activity at the moment.
Lunar Underwing are having a good year. There were 7 in a trap at Betws Ifan on Sunday night. Number of records per year in Ceredigion has risen from 5 in 2012 to 38 in 2019.
They are very docile, so easy to pick up and open up the forewings to check for the lunar marking on the hindwings.
