I'm rather more confident about these although I only see one or two a year. I don't know why I'm particularly pleased with green moths - but I always am.

Thank you Ina, yes I did manage those. With my eyesight the bigger the better, though it doesn't always work.I've looked at Udea prunalis in the book and have no idea how you identified it from such a poor photograph.

DeleteI've been catching a few of these and always get excited when I see the big green one! Amazed that such a large moth isn't rare.
