Small Yellow Wave

A rather cold and windy night in Aberystwyth with less moths than usual but we were pleased to catch our first ever Small Yellow Wave.

    What a lovely moth. The books say that this is a common moth but we have only 110 records. First recorded in 1923 in Llanbadarn and there were 8 records in Peter's Aberystwyth garden between 2005 and 2009. You also have a record for your garden on 29th June 2012!
