The best night of the year so far for mothing. 55 macro and 9 micro species - a total of 208 moths not including the ones that got away. Many carpet moths were off as soon as the trap was opened, as they do!
Some of the notable ones were Peach Blossom (9), Common and Satin Lutestring, Scorched Wing (6), Pebble Hook-tip, Tawny-barred Angle (FFY), Treble-bar, White-pinion Spotted, Small Angle shades (FFY), Bordered White (FFY), Lobster Moth, Alder Moth, Poplar and Eyed Hawkmoth, Bright-line Brown-eye, Oblique Carpet and a couple of late Water Carpet. Micros included Eulia ministrona and Capua vulgana.
