Re: Clay triple-lines
See Mike's earlier post regarding the Clay triple-lines. It was not reported in Fowles because it was first recorded in Ceredigion in 1990 when it was discovered at Llechryd. There are now 96 county records. The number of records has been increasing slightly since 1990 (see the graph), but it is still seen in very low numbers. The peak in record numbers in 2006/7 was due to increased trapping at Ynys-hir. The larvae feed on Beech, which is fairly common in woodlands, hedges and gardens around the county.
