A warm night produced 53 macro species from three traps this morning. These included our first July Highflyer, a rather early Rosy Rustic and a smaller 2nd generation Engrailed.
You are correct this is quite early for Rosy rustic but it is only the second earliest on the county records. The earliest record was 6th July in 1977. I hope this is not a sign of an early Autumn!
Thanks Tony- interesting. And I hope so too! And Ina just 5 easier to id micros this time- Eudonia mercurella, Celypha striana, Agapeta hamana, Small Magpie and Brown China Mark. Carolyn.
Very nice selection there Carolyn. Any micros?
