Blossom Underwing

We were excited to find this Blossom Underwing - a first for us - amongst 18 other macro species in our oak woodland trap this morning, all despite a minimum temperature of -0.1°C.

  1. That's great, it is a rare moth in the county with an average of 1 record per year for the last 10 years. We normally get one per year in the garden even though there are no oaks very near. Sure enough we got one last night!
