April Moths

With the increased hours of daylight we set three traps in garden, woodland and a woodland ride and were rewarded with 21 macro species this morning.
The moths that reached double figures were Brindled & Double-striped Pugs, Clouded Drab, Hebrew Character and Twin-spotted Quaker.
The high spots for us included the first for the year of Lunar Marbled Brown and Frosted Green and this male Dark Sword-grass.

  1. Is this more evidence of warming climate? The Frosted Green and Lunar Marbled Brown are both earliest county records.
