More dispersal

More new species for the garden on Tuesday night: Double Kidney, Magpie, Pandemis cinnamomeana and Catoptria margaritella. Further evidence of movement was a Pearly Underwing (only my second here) and a Water Veneer. Small Dusty Wave, on the other hand, is apparently an Aberystwyth speciality.

  1. Only one Water Veneer! Or the only live one? I think these must go under recorded as they are usually dead (mustn't live long) and I'm sure get discounted as flies or Caddis.

  2. Only one and, surprisingly, still just about alive. The first time I had a trap full of them I did dismiss them as fly confetti.
