Palpita vitrealis

I ran the garden moth trap last night as it seemed quite mild.  There were a couple of migrants - a Palpita vitrealis (which I have only recorded once before in 2013) and a Rusty Dot Pearl.  There was also a Double-striped Pug (quite late in the year for one of these?)

  1. You are the first to record a second though Sarah. Not been recorded in vc46 since 2014.

  2. The previous latest county record for Double-striped Pug was 3rd November and there are just 4 records in October. This must be a 3rd generation for this year.

  3. Thanks for the info. I ran the trap again last night to see what would turn up before it goes cold again - I'll pop the results in a blog post...
