Limnaecia phragmitella

Still low numbers coming to the moth trap - just 69 this time.  There was one new to the garden, a limnaecia phragmitella, although I don't know of any Bulrush nearby.  Macros included some colourful Ys and a Spectacle.

  1. Well done Sarah, you have just put limnaecia phragmitella on the map in a second 10k square. So far all the records have been from the Dyfi area, just Borth and Ynys-hir.
They are known to wander so the Bullrush need not be too close by.

  2. Thanks, Ina. That was the most micro species trapped this year. Also in the trap were: Plutella xylostella; Agapeta zoegana; Clepsis consimilana; Eucosma hohenwartiana (agg.?); Chrysoteuchia culmella X 12; Eudonia lacustrata and Aphomia sociella X 5.

    2. Will do. (I meant "group" not "agg." but I couldn't go back to edit the comment).
