Northern Rustic?

Garden moth trapping is still producing really low numbers here - just 21 moths of 16 species last night including this moth.  I think it looks like a Northern Rustic but I'm really not sure - would someone be able to check my ID please?
Update: I'm now happy that the ID is correct - thanks for all the help given.

  1. Hi Sarah, I have only seen this moth in Lancs. Very dark form with white fringes on the hind wing. Must be before 2010 as I can't find a photo. I'll keep looking.

"Here's one I did earlier" Yours looks a different shape, but I am open to suggestions.

  6. Some more pics from Sarah showing more of the moth. Front angle discounted Turnip - light face, no collar. Unfortunately all I can say is, it looked right to me and it was a process of elimination. They are those kind of moths, once seen - never forgotten. It should be said though that the picture in Waring isn't too helpful if you are not familiar with the moth and a good look at the hindwing really helps.
