Brindled Ochre

An interesting trap from last night with this Brindled Ochre being the highlight.  There were also 2 Dark Sword-grass and a Silver Y in amongst the other moths.

  1. That would seem to be an excellent record, Sarah. I presume that you were trapping in Aberporth and not Radyr? (I saw your Exapate congelatella reported on the Glamorgan site last month). As far as I can tell from the documents I have, Brindled Ochre hasn't been recorded in Carmarthenshire.

  2. Hi. Yes, back moth-trapping in Aberporth now after the surprises of Radyr. Strangely, I was just reading about the Brindled Ochre yesterday in "The moths of Ceredigion" by A P Fowles and I was thinking that the area here should be good for them.
