Sharp-angled Peacock

There were well over a hundred moths in my moth trap yesterday, double the number that I had last week.  I haven't finished working through all the photos yet but I did notice this Sharp-angled Peacock which may be of interest:

  1. Nice photo Sarah and a very good record too. Can be difficult to distinguish Sharp-angled Peacock and Peacock moth. I think you have got this one right because of the grey sub-terminal line and the broken line along the hind wing fringe. There are few records of these two moths in Ceredigion. Only one record for Sharp-angled last year and that from Rothamsted trap.
